Definition of Ideology
• Ideology is set of ideas and beliefs shared by a large group of people.
Ideology forms the basis of a political, cultural, social or economic
system. People of the world identify a nation as a distinct identity.
• Ideology is the name given to a set of ideas, ideals and beliefs that are
particular to a group of people and also guide them. As such, in their
struggle for a separate homeland the Muslims of the subcontinent were
guided by their ideology which helped them to achieve their goal.
Ideology of Pakistan
• The Muslims are of the view that they are a separate nation by virtue of
their faith. They believe they have an identity which is different and
unique from other nations of the Subcontinent. The feeling of oneness
among themselves combined with the consciousness of being separate
from others is Two-Nation Theory.
