A. CANCER (COLLECTION OF RELATED
DISEASES)
 Understanding Cancer
 Cancer is a disease that is caused by the growth of
abnormal cells that are not controlled in the body. This
abnormal cell growth can damage the normal cells
around and in other parts of the body. Cancer is the
second leading cause of death worldwide. Cancer often
causes death because this disease generally does not
cause symptoms at the beginning of its development, so
that it is only detected and treated after reaching an
advanced stage. Cancer is a dangerous and deadly
disease. There have been many victims from this
disease. But, also many who managed to recover from
cancer. Here are the various types of cancer that attack
humans, or some related groups of cancer as follows.
1. BLOOD CANCER OR LEUKEMIA
 Blood cancer or leukemia is a cancer that
attacks cells that form blood cells in the
bone marrow. Under normal conditions,
white blood cells will develop regularly when
the body needs it to eradicate infections that
arise. But another case with blood cancer.
Bone marrow will produce white blood cells
that are abnormal, unable to function
properly, and excessively. Excessive amounts
will cause buildup in the bone marrow so
that healthy blood cells will be reduced.
2. HEART CANCER

 Liver cancer is the most common type of

cancer among men and seventh among
women. About 85% of cases of liver cancer in
the world occur in developing countries.
 Liver cancer is divided into two categories, the
first is primary liver cancer, cancer that starts
in the liver and is a deadly type of cancer. And
the second is a second liver cancer that starts
in other parts of the body, such as the
intestine, before it spreads to the liver.

3. MELANOMA SKIN CANCER

 Melanoma skin cancer is a type of cancer

that starts from human skin and can spread
to other organs in the body. The appearance
of a new mole or changes in an existing mole
are usually common signs or symptoms of
melanoma. This can occur throughout the
body, but some parts of the body that often
occur are the face, hands, back and legs.
4. GASTRIC CANCER

 Stomach cancer is a type of

cancer that eats away at the
stomach, which is an organ in
the human abdominal cavity
that is one part of the digestive
system. This disease can be
infected by people of all ages,
over 60 years and over.
5. MOUTH CANCER

 Oral cancer is a type of cancer

that grows and develops in the
mouth. For example on the
tongue, gums, lips, mouth wall,
and palate. This cancer can
spread directly to tissues around
the mouth or through lymph.
6. BRAIN CANCER

 Brain tumors are the result of unreasonable

and uncontrolled growth of cells in the brain.
Not all malignant brain tumors can be
categorized as cancer. Malignant brain
cancer is a tumor that quickly spreads to
other parts of the brain and spine. Primary
brain tumors are tumors that begin in the
brain. Most malignant brain tumors are
secondary cancers, which means cancer cells
begin in other organs and then spread to the
brain.
7. LUNG CANCER

 Lung cancer is one of the most common

types of cancer. Lung cancer is one of the
most preventable types of cancer. At the
beginning, there were no obvious signs or
symptoms of lung cancer. But then it appears
like a cough that is resolved, a coughing up
of blood, always for the sake of safety,
because for no reason, and weight loss will
appear.
