Ii Introduction

In this project,we will look at many historical


instances of the most beautiful state of India,jammu
and Kashmir!!we will be briefing ourselves with the
TRADITIONAL art form of Jammu and
Kashmir(I.e. Their craft,dresses,food,celebrations
etc).
III The j & k history
J & k was one amongst 565 princely states of India on which
the British paramountacy lapse at the midnight of 15 th august
1947. Under the partition plan provided by India independent
act. The rulers of these princely states were given an option
to join India or Pakistan.When j & k joined India,it became a
part of the Indian territory.

The food of Jammu and Kashmir differs from region to
region with the Hindus dogras of Jammu being
predominantly vegetarian; eating a staple diet of rice ,wheat
and beans. The ladhakis eat rice,wheat,millets,locally
produced vegetables and fruits,goat meat and diary products
made from yak milk.

people of Kashmir state vary from region to region as the
population of Kashmir comprises of Kashmiri Muslims which are
in majority.Other communities in Kashmir are Hindus in Jammu
and Buddhist in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.
IX CONCLUSI
Finally,we would like to conclude by saying that Jammu and
ON
Kashmir is a place of unique qualities and exquisite
traditions.people around the world explore it for this
reason.jammu and Kashmir is a valuable asset to the Indian
territory and we should respect it’s TRADITIOn and culture.
