TEEN COMING OF AGE IDEA

o The idea of my teen coming of age film is two high school girls named Samantha and Carrie who
don’t really get along because they both have a crush on the same boy.

o The idea of my teen coming of age is very similar to most film that have been released which also
have a similar storyline.

o This will help gain my target audience of teenagers as I am giving them a film that has to do with
drama, love and teens.
 Font and Text
 In terms of the font and text of these posters we can see
that they all have similarities due to the fact that they are
all teen coming of age film and series. In the first poster
‘Clueless’ we can see that the font is more so bold and
capital which catches the audiences attention this also
matches the colour for the poster which is pink.

 The second poster ‘My Wife And Kids’ we can see that
they have used the colour orange in there font. We can
see that they are trying to match the colour of the
characters top.

 As you can see in all posters that I have shown here they
all have very similar similarities which are capital and
have bright colours. Teen coming of age usually like using
colours because they know t will appeal to their target
audience.
 IMAGE EFFECT
 The two film I have put here is ‘Easy A’ (2010) and ‘What A
Girl Wants’ (2003). Easy A is more so of a new school teen
coming of age movie and What a Girl Wants is more so old
school.

 As we can see both poster have similarities in terms of the

camera and angle and where the main character has been
positioned. They have both been positioned in the middle
which shows that they are going to have the main storyline
in the film.

 The colours that have been used are very bright and
vibrant which catches the audiences attention and bare in
mind that both characters are female. This would most
likely get teenage girls to watch this film.
CONCLUSION

 When creating my own film poster, I will use some

of these posters for inspiration. These specific
posters have more that one people, some mid close
up of one person on the cover and some bright
colours which helps create the genre of a teen
coming of age poster.

 When I look at my own film I want the poster to give

away what the film will be about. When we look at
the poster ‘A Cinderella Story’ (2004) we can
already assume that the film will be about two
teenagers who fall in love but they may be a bit of
conflict or a dilemma behind the story that is going
to be told.
