INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS
⮚A computer is a programmable machine that performs calculations
and processes information with astonishing speed and precision.
⮚It can handle vast amount of information and data.
⮚It can take thousands of individual pieces of data and turn them into
more usable information with speed and accuracy.
⮚The two principle characteristics of a computer are:
• It responds to a specific set of instructions in a well defined manner.
• It can execute a pre recorded list of instructions (a program).

COMPUTER SYSTEMS:
• A computer system is a basic, complete and functional computer,
including all the hardware and software required to make it functional
for a user.
• A system of interconnected computers that share a central storage
system and various peripheral devices such as a printers, scanners, or
routers. 
• In simple, computer system Is a collection of entities(hardware,
software and liveware) that are designed to receive, process, manage
and present information in a meaningful format.

• COMPONENTS OF COMPUTER SYSTEM

Computer hardware - Are physical parts/ intangible parts of a
computer. eg Input devices, output devices, central processing unit and
storage devices
• Computer software - also known as programs or applications. They
are classified into two classes namely - system software and
application software
• Liveware - The user commands the computer system to execute on
instructions.

• Computer speed up the business processes and systems with top quality.

⮚Information technology (IT) is the use of any computers, storage,
