POSITION YOUR BODY CORRECTLY

• Position your body facing towards


the person throwing the ball
• Make sure your eyes are on the
thrower
• Have your feet shoulder width apart
POSITION YOUR
HANDS
CORRECTLY
• Extend your arms straight out in front of
you

• Position your hands in a diamond shape


(tips of your pointer fingers and thumbs
should touch each other)

• Spread other fingers out as you usually


would

• Let the ball land in the middle of your


diamond
GRABBING THE FOOTBALL IN AIR

• Let the ball make contact with your


hands
• Once contact is made your hands
you should grip the ball firmly
AFTER THE
CATCH
• Once you have successfully made a catch
you have to put the ball away

• Rotate the ball to one of your hands

• The tip of the ball should be in the palm


of your hand and the remainder of the
ball should press into your forearm
TUCK THE
BALL & RUN
• You don’t want the ball to get knocked out so you
have to tuck it against your body tight
• Carry the ball in your outside arm
• The ball should be high and tight across your chest
• After the ball is successfully put away you can begin
to run
THE CATCH IS GOOD!

• Make sure you have someone to throw to you to attempt catching a pass

Self-Critique
• I think I did well as far as my image selection, editing and text. For my image selection I wanted to
give images that directly related to the picture I wanted to paint for the learner. I could’ve edited my
pictures more, but I resized and cropped the images to fit my PowerPoint. For my text I think I did
good as my text were short and very direct. My learner will be able to know the correct way to catch a
football. I used the coherence principle, signaling principle, spatial contiguity principle, segmenting
principle, multimedia principle, and the personalization principle.
