REPORTED SPEECH

Reported Speech is used when we want to tell


someone what someone else said.
Use a reporting verb (e.g. say - said, tell - told,
ask - asked, etc.).
(1) In progress at the same time or
something that is happening in the future.
• No need to change the verb of the sentence.

Direct • “I will be late for the
