 Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of
my Father which is in heaven. 
 Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 
 Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 
10 point test to see if you are saved

 THE EPISTLE OF 1 JOHN

 The book is about the assurance of salvation.
 It gives us a lot of evidences to guarantee our salvation.
 The Lord doesn’t want His children to live a doubtful life
instead a life that is full of faith.
Test #1

 Ifyou love the fellowship with the brethren rather than the
unbelievers, then you are saved.
1 John 1:7
 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 
Test #2

 If you admit you are a sinner that proves you are saved.
1 John 1:8
 Ifwe say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us.
Test #3

 If you obey God’s commandments then you are saved.

1 John 2:3
 Andhereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his
commandments. 
Test #4

 Ifyour affection is of God and not of this world, then you

are saved.
1 John 2: 15
 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the
world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is
not in him.

 Ifyou acknowledge Jesus as 100% God and 100% Man

then you are saved. (Christology)
1 John 2:23
 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:
(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

 Ifyou are seeking and waiting for Christ’s return, then you
are saved.
1 John 3:2
 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

 If you don’t practice sin then you are saved.

1 John 3:9
 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his
seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is
born of God.

 If you love the brethren then you are saved.

1 John 3:14
 We know that we have passed from death unto life,
because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his
brother abideth in death.

 If
you listen to pastor or preachers who preach and teach
God’s word of truth.
1 John 4:6
 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is
not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of
truth, and the spirit of error.

 If you proclaim Jesus as who He is.

1 John 4:15
 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God
dwelleth in him, and he in God. 
Conclusion

 Itmust be very important to you that you really know and

evidently show that you are saved.
 God has given His Word to assure us of salvation.
 1John 5:13 
 These things have I written unto you that believe on the
name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the
Son of God.
