What is an Object?
• A material thing that can be seen or touched.

Examples
• Dog
• Car
• Pen
• Phone
What does the word living
mean?
•This means you are a breathing
organism, and you need food, water, and
oxygen to survive.
Characteristics of Living things
• Made up of cells
• Have Movement
• Have a Metabolism
• Reproduce
• Ability to Adapt
• Ability to Interact
What does the word nonliving
mean?
•This means you are an object that does
not require food, water, or oxygen to
exist.
Characteristics of Nonliving things
• Does not grow
• Does not need energy
• Does not move
• Does not evolve
