INTRODUCTION
 Founded in 1951.

 Bosch Limited is India’s largest auto component


manufacturer and also one of the largest Indo – German
companies in India.

 The company generated net sales of Rs. 6630 crores in


2010.

 The Bosch Group holds 71.18% stake in Bosch Limited.


 Bosch Limited manufactures and trades in all the three
major business sectors of Bosch. Details below -
 Automotive Technology

Business divisions: Diesel and Gasoline Fuel Injection


Systems, Car Multimedia Systems, Auto Electricals and
Accessories, Starters and Generators, Energy and Body
Systems.

CSR RELATED TO BOSCH
Main focus area-:
 Philanthropy-
Through their associate volunteer team call Social
Environmental and Welfare Activities -SEWA - consonant
with Seva –means “Service”. They seek to strengthen
activities in this area both by diversification into different
spheres of work, and also by providing their associates
more opportunities to get involved. They also collaborate
and support the Bosch India Foundation monetarily and
by mobilizing the participation of their associates. Their
goal is to provide benefit through long-term, strategic
partnerships with deserving and committed charitable
organizations.
 Culture and Art-:

Their goal is to further the development of strong


communities by supporting talented artists who have
genuine financial needs. We believe that art can
strengthen the community.

For ex:- They support the Bangalore school of music to


support the new talents and award them according to
their talent.

 Facilitating dialogue for public feedback to the Organization

 Being a good corporate neighbor: Build better relations with


corporates in the neighborhood to build a stronger local network

an unavoidable impact on the Environment. As a responsible
Corporate Citizen, They need to minimize effects on the
Environment wherever and whenever practicable.

CSR NEWS RELATED TO BOSCH
Bosch group to adopt schools as part of its CSR programme-:
 Bosch group, which is celebrating the 125th year of its establishment in
2011, plans to adopt 25 schools and improve their infrastructure across
the country.

 “Bosch is celebrating 125th year of its establishment globally. This is an


occasion for them to reiterate, assimilate and appreciate the values that
have made Bosch a successful organisation and a great contributor to
society over many decades,” said V K Vishwanathan, president, Bosch
India and managing director, Bosch Limited.

  As part of the celebrations, Bosch will focus on promoting education as


an extension of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

 Bosch came to India in 1922 and started its manufacturing operations in


1953 in Bangalore. Today, the Bosch group comprises six companies
with 13 manufacturing units.
