TRADITIONAL OFFICE
SPACE:

The most basic type of office layout is the –

traditional office space. This type of space is
most suitable for businesses offering financial
services, such as hedge funds, banks, or law
firms. This is mainly because the classic
layout of this office provides employees with
peace, quiet and private areas where they can
focus on their work. A traditional office space
typically entails a reception, bullpen,
boardroom, and private offices.
CREATIVE OFFICE
SPACE:

Another type of office space that is

becoming popular by the day is a
creative office space. A creative space
layout is meant to encourage and
enhance teamwork and collaboration.
Generally, you will notice that many
start-up firms, advertising agencies,
and creative agencies focus on
adopting this type of layout
CONTIGUOUS OFFICE
SPACE:

A contiguous office space entails multiple

suites that are combined on the same floor
of a building. This entire floor is mostly
rented out to a single tenant. For instance, a
business could lease more than one floor in
a building according to their requirement.
A contiguous office space is typically
leased by large businesses that require
multiple workplaces or offices for the
different departments of their business
COWORKING OFFICE
SPACE:

Another office space that has seen to

gain popularity over time is the co-
working space. This type of office
space aims to offer flexibility to small
businesses that are commencing their
operations or are at their initial stage.
Start-ups and small companies that
require a workspace can rent a number
of desks as per their need
EXECUTIVE OFFICE
SPACE:

An executive suite is as classy and as

good as an office space can get! It is
basically a fully serviced and furnished
office space meant for lucrative
businesses. The lease of an executive
suite is pretty lenient as you can either
get a monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or
yearly sublet. Moreover, an executive
suite is already pre-wired for internet and
phone services.
HISTORY OF OFFICE:

For centuries people have been getting up, joining a daily commute or retreating to a room, to work.
The office has become inseparable from work.

Its history illustrates not only how our work has changed but also how work’s physical spaces
respond to cultural, technological and social forces.

The origins of the modern office lie with large-scale organisations such as governments, trading
companies and religious orders that required written records or documentation. Medieval monks, for
example, worked in quiet spaces designed specifically for sedentary activities such as copying and
studying manuscripts. As depicted in Botticelli’s St Augustine in His Cell, these early “workstations”
comprised a desk, chair and storage shelves
PROBLEMS FACED IN OFFICES:
•The human element:
Organizations make heavy investments on their human resources, the biggest asset for
any company management. If employees are not skilled and efficient, a company stands
to lose its productivity, and reputation as a result. It’s imperative that
Architectural drawing services strive to make the atmosphere congenial and friendly
for the people working there to keep them happy and satisfied.
•Healthy built environment:
The constant endeavor of a designer should be to provide a healthy work environment to
help management boost the employee morale and increase their productivity. Experience
shows that the organizations with an amiable and healthy built environment record lower
attrition rates and higher productivity. A designer needs to understand the work culture of
the organization to come up  with a suitable design.
•Work ethos:
Work ethos and philosophy of an organization must necessarily be reflected in their
office building. A visitor should get a clear idea about a company’s culture through its
built form and the work environment, Which makes it absolutely  necessary for the
architect to first understand the culture and philosophy of the company.
•Lighting is important:
The lighting arrangement of an office building is one of the most important aspects of the
design for the providers of Architectural drawing services since it’s directly related to
the satisfaction level and productivity of the employees. While insufficient lighting may
cause various health problems and result in low productivity, over-bright lighting may
cause other health issues like severe headaches and other eyesight related problems on
the other hand.
