ACCOMODATION
EXCESS?

Defenition of accomodation excess


Accommodative excess involves an inability to focus
due to a sustained or over-contracture of the ciliary
muscle. Etiologi of accomodation excess
*Hypermetrop
*Astigmatisme
*Improper of ill fitting spectacles
ACCOMODATION SPAM
Defenition of Accomodation Spasm
Transient over-contracture of the ciliary muscle.

Etiology is influenced by a combination of systemic


disorders such as hypertensive retinopathy and local
abnormalities in the eyes:
Hypermetrop
Astigmatism
Improper of ill fitting spectacles
The signs and symptoms associated with accommodative
excess are related to performance of prolonged visually
demanding near-centered tasks. They may include, but
are lot limited to, the following:

More common signs and symptoms :


•Transient blurred vision (ICD: H53.8)
•Diminished accuracy
•Abnormal postural adaptation/working distance (ICD:
R29.3)
•Difficulty shifting focus from near to far
•Asthenopia (ICD: H53.149)
•Pain in or around the eye (ICD: H57.13)
•Headaches (ICD: R51)
