- There are 2 types of containers: Without standard and with standard of ISO

- Containers without standard have the same length and size but not widely and
consistently used.
- Types of containers
According to structure:
– Closed Container( Container kín )
– Open Container (Container mở)
– France Container(Container khung)
– Tilt Container(Container gấp)
– Flat Container(Container phẳng)
– Rolling Container (Container có bánh lăn)
According to ISO standard, seaway containers contain 7 main containers:
1. General Purpose Container (Container bách hoá)

This type of container is most

commonly used in ocean
transportation.
Often used to transport dry goods,
includes sealed containers with doors
at one end and sides, vented
containers, etc. So they are also
known as dry containers (dry
containers, abbreviated as 20'DC or
40'DC, 40HC).
2. Dry Bulk/Bulk freight Container
(Container hàng rời)

A type of container that allows to load

dry bulk cargo (cement, grain, ore,
etc.) by pouring from the top down
through the loading hatch (loading
hatch), and unloading at the bottom or
side (discharge hatch). Normal bulk
containers have an appearance similar
to that of a general purpose container,
except for the loading mouth and the
unloading door.
3. Named Cargo Containers (Container chuyên dụng)
A type of special design specialized to carry a certain type of goods such as soft drinks, cars,
motorbikes.
For example:
Container for carrying cars: the structure consists of a frame linked to the floor, no need for a wall
with a roof, used to carry cars, and can be stacked inside 1 or 2 floors depending on the height of the
vehicle. (Currently, people still carry cars in a pretty common departmental container.)
Animal transport containers

Specially designed to carry

livestock. Vertical wall or front
wall is fitted with small mesh
doors for ventilation. The lower
part of the vertical wall arranges a
dirty outlet when cleaning
4. Thermal insulated/Heated/Refrigerated Container
(Container bảo ôn/ nóng/lạnh)

Designed to carry cargo that requires a certain temperature control inside the
container.
Used to carry goods with temperature preservation requirements, designed with
insulated walls. Insulation containers usually maintain cold or hot
temperatures. In Vietnam, cold containers are often used.
5. Open-top Container
(Container hở mái)

With a convertible top that can

be completely removed to make
an open-top so that materials of
any height can be shipped easily.
6. Tank Container (Container thùng
chứa)

Used to transport dangerous goods and bulk cargo

(liquid food such as cooking oil, chemicals, chemical transport...)
The goods are poured through the manhole above the roof of the container, and
drawn out. through the drain valve (Outlet valve) by the action of gravity or
drawn through the mouth of the tank by the pump.
7. Platform Container (Container mặt phẳng)

Designed with no walls, no roof, only the

floor is a solid ground, specialized for
transporting heavy goods
such as machinery and equipment, iron
and steel ...

Ground containers have double-end

walls (front and back), which can be
fixed, folded down, or removable.
