Our shared vision
• Strengthen ability of National Statistical Systems and all SDG
stakeholders to share data, knowledge, and expertise on data for
the 2030 Agenda
• Provide a modern platform for collaboration among data
producers and users that facilitates data interoperability
• Enable the overlaying of multiple national and global data sets
– understand data flows
– address inconsistencies
• Engage communities of interest around SDG policy initiatives
• Implement a service-oriented, interoperable and standard-driven
“system-of-systems” approach to link subnational, national and
global datasets

Sustainable Development Data
• Provides a comprehensive framework to design and
implement country-led statistical capacity building
activities to achieve the 2030 Agenda
• Defines objectives and key actions under six strategic
areas:
1. Coordination and strategic leadership
2. Innovation and modernization of NSS
3. Basic statistical activities and programmes
