CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

• APPLICABILITY: (a) net worth of the company to be Rs 500

crore or more; or (b) turnover of the company to be Rs
1000 crore or more; or (c) net profit of the company to be
Rs 5 crore or more are required to spend 2 per cent of their
average profits of the previous three years on CSR activities
every year.
• During any financial year a company shall constitute a
Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the
• Board consisting of three or more directors, out of which at
least one director shall be an
• independent director.

• Global citizenship/World Citizenship is the idea that one's identity
transcends geography or political borders and that responsibilities
or rights are derived from membership in a broader class:
"humanity“
• GLOBALIZATION has led to this phenomena
• On 10 December 1948, the UN General Assembly Adopted
Resolution 217A (III), also known as "The Universal Declaration of
Human Rights.“
• Article 1 states that "All human beings are born free and equal in
dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience
and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
• Article 13(2) states that "Everyone has the right to leave any
country, including his own, and to return to his country."
• A global citizen is someone who is aware of
and understands the wider world – and their
place in it. They take an active role in their
community and work with others to make our
planet more peaceful, sustainable and fairer.
