FORM
In the theatre, the actresses represented loss with a sad
emotion. In page 61, while performing they even shouted at
each other. While acting, they expressed themselves how
Samuels actually wanted to make them feel . When
performing, it is more clear that there is the theme of Loss
since when you are reading the book, not much is expressed
or understood. Samuels tried to show the theme loss in the
book as much as she could, but when the play is performed
the reader/audience can see more and can feel sadder about
Eva, Evelyn and Helga. When they are performing for either
Eva or Evelyn, the actress changes so sometimes the
expressions were slightly different. Even though there were
some differences, when the play is being performed you can
understand more because in the book you don't see how the
characters are reacting or saying things, while in the play
you can see and hear at the same time, either how they are
reacting or talking and what they are saying. So, in
conclusion when watching it being performed in the theatre,
you can understand more since the facial expressions play a
big role inside the play.
