 Also known as nursery education, is a branch of
education theory that relates to the teaching of children
from birth up to the age of eight.

 Traditionally ,this is up to the equivalent of third grade .


ECE is described as an important period in child
development.

What is the purpose of early childhood education?

 It aims at the holistic development of a child’s social,


emotional, cognitive, and physical needs in order to
build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning
and well being. ECCE has the possibility to nurture caring
,capable and responsible future citizens.

4. Develop an accreditation system for institutions involved in middle-
level manpower development;
5. Fund programs and projects for technical education and skills
development; and
6. Assist trainers training programs.
