DEFINITION
Clause : a group of words that contains a subject and a verb and is used as part of a sentence or a sentence
by itself.
Phrase : group of Related words that does not contain a subject and verb and is used as a part of speech.
Sentence : a group of words consisting of a subject and a predicate.
DEFERENCE
Clause are groups of words that have a subject and a predicate.
Phrase are groups of words that act as a part of speech but cannot stand alone as
a sentence.
Sentence a complete thought and can stand alone as a sentence.
