DEFINITION
Clause : a group of words that contains a subject and a verb and is used as part of a sentence or a sentence
by itself.
Phrase : group of Related words that does not contain a subject and verb and is used as a part of speech.
Sentence : a group of words consisting of a subject and a predicate.
DEFERENCE
Clause are groups of words that have a subject and a predicate.
Phrase are groups of words that act as a part of speech but cannot stand alone as
a sentence.
Sentence a complete thought and can stand alone as a sentence.

FORMULATION
Clause : Subject + Verb
Phrase : -
• Verb phrase : auxiliary phrase + main verb
• Adjective verb : modifer + adjective
• Preposition phrase : prepasition + adjective + modifer
Sentence : Subject + Predicat + Object
SENTENCE USING
CLAUSE

• He order something when he need.

• She has talk to her mother who she missed so much.
• I like staring the rain because it calms me down.
• I am standing here when you call me.
• She was cleaning her house when she heard that strange sound.
SENTENCE USING
PHRASE

• Yesterday I saw a beautiful butterfly flying around my garden.

• Budi is a diligent student in my class.
• My head feels like gonna be explode because of trying to answer this
difficult question.
• Dewi Lestari is a brilliant author who write Supernova.
• I couldn’t understand why this naughty dog can get into my house.
SENTENCE
• Sinta took the papers from the shelf.
• She got hurt when her uncle say something harsh to her.
• I can’t go to vacation this time.

• Someday I will buy a really big house with an indoor swimming pool.
