Installation steps for Windows XP1 & XP2 for Idea

Netsetter MF667
• Step 1 : First plug in the Idea Netsetter MF667 and then download the file/tool which is
provided on the Idea website link for Windows SP1 & SP2 http://
www.ideacellular.com/devices/Netsetter/upgrades
• Note - you will have to use external data connection to download the file on to your laptop /
computer

• Step 2 : Once you have saved the file , then unzip the file ( as shown below ) & run the
file/tool
• Step 3 : It will take few minutes to show the below “update window”. Once the
“Update” button becomes activate, then just press the “Update” button to start
upgrade process

Click on upgrade
button
Step 4 : It will take around 12 to 15 mins to update the Windows SP1 & SP2 file/tool
Step 5 : On the update is over you will get – Update successful prompt

Step 6 : Now unplug the Idea Netsetter MF667 and plug again it will start working on
Windows SP1 & SP 2
 Note
• Before upgrade, please pull out the SIM/UIM card, otherwise the IMEI number may be lost after
upgrade.
• Before upgrade, please pull out the T-Flash card, otherwise the upgrade may fail.
• If the “Upgrade” button has not become activate, please again plug in dongle and then run the one
click upgrade tool again.
• This upgrade tool is compatible with Windows XP (SP2/SP3), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8.
• Do not switch off your computer or start any other applications until the upgrade is complete.
• The upgrade will fail if your computer goes to sleep, standby or hibernates during the upgrade.
• Make sure the modem is connected to mains power.
• Do not insert or remove any USB devices until the upgrade is complete.
• Never close the tool when upgrade procedure is running, such operations maybe seriously damage
the modem permanently!
• Do not use an USB hub. Please connect directly to the PC.
• Please run the tool as an administrator, or it will not work normally. (Right click the tool, run as
administrator).
• Please re-insert the modem after upgrade to use.
