Use of reports
WINManage’s Reports provide a bridge between detailed views or dashboards and alerts. Reports can contain detailed or current state
information.
You can create report and later on schedule it to automatically receive it as a PDF or Excel via email.
For more information on scheduling a report refer to schedulers section.
You may stack all your reports in related category. You may create custom reports as well as relative categories.

Difference between Dashboards and Reports


Dashboards are a current/real time view of the devices monitored, while reports are a snap shot of a point-in-time view of a specific
monitor/monitors

Default reports available


WINManage comes along with a set of pre-defined reports. Once you install any WINManage App the pre-defined reports associated with
that app will show up in Reports section.

Creating custom reports


To create a new report click on button which is on top right corner.
You need to enter the following details:

1. Report Name
2. Report Category
3. Description

If the category is not available in the drop down, then you can create it
by typing the name of the category and the clicking on button.
Once you have created a report. You need to add required widgets to
the report’s dashboard.
For every report there are a set of actions available:

4. Export Excel
5. Export PDF
6. Schedule
7. Refresh

Thus to summarize it for creating a custom report the steps to follow


are:

You may even edit predefined reports as per your comfort.

Adding new widget in reports : The widget can be of any type


1. Metric : The following types of views are available for Metric
a) Gauge
b) Historical
c) Top N/ Least N
d) Grid
e) Metric

e) Tree Map
f) Chord
g) Map

3. Log :The following types of views are available for Log

Available report actions


There are multiple actions for reports :
1. Edit : Using this feature you may change the name of the report, report
category & description.
2. Delete : You may delete the report by clicking on
3. Mark as Favorite : If you wish to have a look at the most frequently used
reports quickly, then you can mark them as your favorite reports by clicking on

Favorite reports will appear in My Favorite category.
4. Schedule : You may schedule the report directly by clicking on .
