CHILD LABOR IS BAD-

WE HAVE PROOF
Purpose:
We want to raise awareness that child labor is happening in
Bangkok and that it is bad.
We want to prove to you that people in 6AR think that child labor
is bad and we have to stop it. We think that all children have
rights and freedom, and that children need education so that they
can express their rights and have a better future.
Hypothesis
Our hypothesis is that most people will think that
child labor is really sad and cruel so that we
have to stop this because children need to have
freedom and rights and also, they shouldn’t be
working in such hazardous conditions!
We think that more people will spread the word to
stop child labor and they (anyone that owns a
shirt that says information about child labor) can
wear it and we can show that people in 6AR are
against child labor. And child labor is bad.
Our Questions
We created a few questions to ask the people in
6AR with quick questionnaires.

-Do you think child labor is: Good or bad?

-What word or feeling comes to your mind when you
hear the word child labor- good, bad, cruel or
frustrating?
-Do you think child labor is happening a lot in
Bangkok right now?
The Results
We organized our results for every question using tally
marks and we wrote one question on one sheet of paper,
and the results were numbered.
We think this was a really good way to organize our results
because if we put it all the Q&A on one sheet of paper it
would be hard to organize, but five-six sheets of paper
are easier to use as we can have one set of results per
page. We would have to make sure that we file our results
carefully and that we don’t lose them. One way we fixed
this was to type everything down into the computer and
we saved it every 10 minutes so we would not forget.

Conclusions
As we predicted, most people thought that child labour was sad. The
biggest difference in people’s opinions about child labor can be
found in their thoughts about whether it is good or sad. The range
between the numbers was two because the three people thought
child labor was sad and one person thought it was good due to it
leading to cheap products. The median or middle number was two
because two pairs of people thought of child labor as bad or
frustrating. Whilst one person thought it was good and three
people thought it was sad. The mode was two because two pairs
of people felt frustrated or bad about child labor, one person said
that they felt happy/good and three people said that they felt sad.
The mode, or most common number, was two because two people
thought that child labor was frustrated and another two people
said that they felt bad and two was the most repeated number.

Our graphs- why did we choose them?
The correct graph- we used the graph because it is easy
to read and organized and the colors are good
because they are clear against the black background.
The misleading graph- We used the misleading one
because it makes the ‘child labor is bad’ section bigger
and the ‘child labor is good’ section way, way smaller,
and it looks like more people think child labor is bad
than good.
