Social Media and Children

Introduction
Social Media refers to a computer-based technology that facilitates the
sharing of ideas, thoughts, and information through virtual networks
and communities.Social media is internet-based and gives users quick
electronic communication of content.There are more than 4.5 billion
social media users around the world.Children are recently getting active
on social media.I am going to discuss personal , psychological and
modern point of view about it.
Body Part
From my personal point of view ,social media is mostly talked about in
a negative light, there are some strong positive arguments in favour of
it.Spending time online is important for the younger generation to pick
up necessary technical skills,communication skills and so on.They can
easily interact and learn from the best in a minimum time and it will
boost their confident.But social media must not be the first priority for
them.
From psychological point of view, in modern world maximum children
start their social media and they are not aware of the pros and cons of
it.When a positive matter can effect their mind in a good way but if it is
not then it is harmful for their future.Children mind is very easy to
manipulate and this time they should try to learn from social
media.Moral judgment should be brought in by their parents to ensure
safe usage of social media.
From modern perspective , a child imitates what his or her friends or
same age other childs do.In the busy city life every child is getting into
social media.If any child doesn’t have an account on facebook or other
social media sites , he is treated in a bad way.Moreover,if any one
misses the trending topic he is judged badly by other children.So,this
type of mentality must be changed.
Conclusion
Parents always want the best for their children, while also protecting
them from the worst.But at the same time they must introduce them to
the modern technologies too.On the other hand they should maintain a
positive view towards them.In order to build an exemplary society
children must be handled in a careful manner.
