GIVING GOD

CONTROL OVER
YOUR LIFE
As humans, our natural inclination is to try to be
in control of every circumstance in our lives. When life
isn’t going our way, we don’t trust God. We believe
that we are in charge of our lives.

We learn time and again that no matter what

God is always in control. We can’t have our hands on
the steering wheel while giving God control at the
same time.
Luke 9: 23
Jeremiah 29:11

hinaharap.
God wants us to know that his plan is perfect. He
only wants what is absolutely best for His children.

Give It to God and Let Go

When we know we are in trouble, when life forces
us to realize that we’re powerless to save our lives, we
must give it to God and let go.
The good news is that there is always a
blessing and God’s goodness attached to the
other end of giving it to God and letting go.

We must come to realize that He is in control

of every aspect of our lives. He has your best
interest in mind. He wants you to live the
purposeful life that He has predestined for you.
He knows what we need much better than we
do.
Jeremiah 29:11
God made us to learn on Him in dependence.
He is on your side and worthy of your trust. If we
cling to God, He will hold us and guide us to live
our best life for Him daily, remain in prayer, and
remind ourselves what the Bible says about giving
God control.
How to Give God Control
We often try to control our lives o much so that we
forget God exists. We don’t want to surrender because we
are afraid of what will happen in the future.
Embrace the life God has planned for you. Allow Him
to shape your life as He wills.
“Faith is the opposite of seeking control. It is
surrendering control. It embraces the truth that control is
an illusion—we never had it and we never will.” (Skye
Jethani’ “Reimagining the Way You Relate to God)
Let God Take the Wheel
In order to live purposeful, passion-filled lives, we must
surrender all control to God. God knows our lives more than we
do. God’s plan will always be better. No matter how much you try
to control your life, God’s will is what you should strive for. That
means giving him full control of our lives because He knows
exactly what He is doing. Give God the keys and surrender to His
will. When you choose God to be in control of your life, you can
experience true peace and freedom knowing He has a plan for you.
Give It to God in Prayer
Whatever you are going through give it to God in
prayer. Open up to God and take the time to share what
is on your heart. WE have a Heavenly Father who wants
to hear our requests and who is faithful to answer us,
though it may not always be the answer we want.
Joshua 1:9

Alalahanin mong lagi itong aking tagubilin:

pasasalamat.
God delights when we pray. He wants us to come
into His presence. He wants to hear our needs. He listens,
He blesses, He corrects and He forgives. You must
humble yourself in giving God control so He can show
you the way to a peaceful life.
Give It to God by Starting Each Day with Scripture

When you read the scripture, you get to know God. It

only makes sense that the more you know someone, the
more you learn their character. It’s easier to trust God
when we know Him! Grab your phone and use a Bible
App. The Bible is living and active and like cool water
for your thirsty soul.
Luke 11:28

UCCP STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE

That the Holy Bible is a faithful and inspired witness

to God’s self-revelation in Jesus Christ and in history to
illumine, guide, correct and edify believers in their faith
and witness.
Give It to God by Surrounding Yourself with
Encouragement

You will never make it alone. You need to have

people who speak truth in your life. You can also listen
to podcasts, read books, watch videos and listen to
Christian music that boosts your faith and encourages
your spirit.
Give It to God by Renewing Your Mind Continually
The world will constantly try to add worries to your day
so it is important that you maintain your spiritual health!
Continually surrender those worries to God. Trust and
believe that God is for you. He loves you and wants only the
best for you. When you let go, you can fully rest in His
strength. You don’t have to worry. The Creator of the world
is on your side. So give your worry, your finances, your
future to God.
Romans 8:28

Listen to Him
The Lord speaks to us. However, its important that we listen to
what He has to say.
Have conviction to stand for the truth.

Thank Him
The Lord is so good. Even if you struggle with control,
approach God with a thankful heart. Show gratitude for all He’s
done for you. It’s easier to release control when you’re thankful
for what someone has done for you.
Learning to trust and giving God control is a
lifelong process. We have to choose to trust Him. We
have to choose to give up control. There is hope
because God will be there every step of the way. He
promises that you will never venture into the future
alone. So embrace the life God has for you!
