Component Identification

• Before any design can take place you need to know how to
identify the components from the symbol in schematic
diagrams and what they look like in ‘real life’.
• Any symbols ideally should conform to the International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards (old standards
include ANSI, DIN and AS).
