Career development defines as an organized, planned endeavor; which involves


structured activities of processes, resulting in a mutual career conspiracy effort between
the employees and the organization. It is an ongoing process by which individuals
progress through a series of steps, each of which characterizes by a relatively unique set
of issues, themes, and actions.

STAGE: 1 ASSESSMENT

STAGE: 2 EXPLORATION

The exploration stage is the pre-employment stage, wherein the individuals are in their mid-twenties and enter from

directions shown by their parents, friends, family, teachers.

In the Preparation Stage, you are still getting ready to do your life's work. This stage is characterized by feelings of
excitement, as you think of how wonderful it will be to perform meaningful work. However, there is still much work
to be done, and in order to be successful, you have to be prepared.

S TA G E : 4 I M P L E M E N TAT I O N

This stage involves three career development tasks. The first one, the crystallization of a career preference, is to develop and
plan a tentative vocational goal.
STAGE: 5 DECISION MAKING

The first step to solving a career problem is to bridge the gap between where you are
and where you want to be. Exploring your values, interests, and skills will help you
find educational and career options that match up with your goals.
