transformed by societies

Compare different forms of societies and individualities

Explain how human relations are transformed by social systems

Evaluate how social systems transform human relationships, and


how societies transform individual human beings.

It is a voluntary association of individuals for common goals, an
organized group working together or periodically meeting

It is an enduring and cooperating social group whose members have


developed organized patterns of relationships through interaction
with one another

It is a community, nation, or broad grouping of people having


common traditions, institutions, and collective activities and
interests

It is a part of a community that is a unit distinguishable by particular
aims or standards of living or conduct

It is a social circle or a group of social circles having a clearly marked


identity

Alliances or Union sharing common territory
Common goals

This is the form of society recognized as the earliest and simplest

It is small and composed mostly of families

It is nomadic – means that they kept on transferring from one place to another
to look for food, simply speaking they do not have permanent houses

In this type of society men are in-charge in hunting animals while women are
tasked in the collection of vegetables and other crops
PASTORAL SOCIETY
This is characterized by the raising of animals to supply their food

This kind of society also engage in buying and selling of goods with
other groups
HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
This is form of society engages in growing of plants, fruits, and
vegetables

The members of this society are engage in making crafts and buying
and selling goods
FEUDAL SOCIETY
It is a form of society in which the ruler or lord owned all the land
while the farmers or laborers farmed it

AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY
This form of society grows rice and other crops

They also began to farm and raise animals for food

They lived permanently and improved the technology for farming

Money became a form of exchange for goods and services


INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY
This society used machineries in the production of goods and
services

Daily activities grow easier and people's lives improve as a result of


inventions and technological advancements
POST-INDUSTRIAL OR VIRTUAL
(COMPUTER) SOCIETY
This is the type of society where people use technology and the
Internet to communicate, to engage in business and access different
information that can be if used to deal with daily activities.
What is the importance of knowing the different
types of societies and each characteristics?
This will help you to assess and identify the type of society to which
we currently or eventually belong.

This will provide us with an idea and serve as a guideline for how we
will develop the type of society that we will establish in the future.

Social roles are set of connected behaviors expected to a certain
person.

Individuals with common or similar roles are grouped together to


form social groups and eventually the different social groups would
become social institutions that includes family, school, government
among others.

Norms are set of traits and behavior that society considers good and
acceptable. When we do not obey to the established norms, then we
experience punishments for not doing so.

Laws are made to provide us proper guidelines to sustain peace and


order. Violation of the law means punishment.

Folkways are traditional in nature and do not result in punishment if not


followed.

The government providing us social services and public services;
free education and health care, financial assistance, and peace and
order.

These services will be able to support us reach our potentials

It could help us to be productive, become progressive, capable of


making significant changes and contributions in our society.
