 What are Doughnuts?

Bakery product of round or ring

shape, deep-fried, with or without
filling. Sweet crumpet, poured with
sweet icing. Donuts are very
popular in America, which are most
often eaten for breakfast. Incredibly
airy, soft and delicious. Donuts are
considered an American delicacy.
 History of the origin of
donuts.
There is a legend about the invention of the
Berlin doughnut (this type of baking has no hole
in the middle): in 1756, a certain pastry chef
from Berlin dreamed of serving in the artillery of
Frederick the Great, but could not prove himself
worthily in the military field. However, after a
while he managed to get a position as a field
baker. Mixing his two passions - artillery and
baking - the baker came up with fried round
"cannonballs" made of yeast dough, cooked over
an open fire in oil. This type of baking became
incredibly popular in Berlin and eventually
became known as "Berlin donuts"; soon, they
came up with the idea of adding confiture to the
original recipe, which gave scope to the general
craze for fried sweet buns.

Fact six: Donut ranks 9274th among
the most common names for a boy in
the United States. Since last year, the
name has been used twice as often.
Fact seven: as a name for a girl, it has
been ranked 8,293 in the US since last
year, which is 50 percent more than in
the previous year.Fact eight: in 2007,
the release of the movie "The
Simpsons" was marked by the creation
of a pyramid of 1764 donuts. Its height

The most expensive donut in the world was

presented in 2014 in London by the confectionery
company Krispy Kreme. It includes Belgian
chocolate, golden pollen, edible diamonds, Dom
Perignon champagne jelly, Chateau d'Yquem liqueur.

This culinary masterpiece was born in honor of the
National Donut Week, a charity event to raise funds
to help children in need.
