The need for training of Marine Engineers
and Cargo Handling officers
• Crew competence is the key to
optimum engine control, efficiency
and less accidents and damage to
the environment.

• Currently there is a world-wide

shortage of marine engineers who
have been trained and experienced
on modern engine room
configurations.

Flexibility to change engine/exercise with
the use of touch screens!
Key features:
• Operation through touch screen
monitor
• Access to any engine room sub-
systems
• Customer can run various
models on same Hardware

By using touch screens integrated

with real-life engine room consoles
and panels, the system quickly
can change between different
simulator models.

BigView – Interactive Mimic System

• The BigView is a combination of

interactive schematic mimic of all
relevant engine room
compartments:
• The system diagrams provides
students with sufficient
information to recognize
interactions between systems
and sub-systems and identify
component statuses..

3D Virtual Engine Room

• The 3D virtual engine room

system allows students to
navigate through the engine
room and to operate the
equipment from within a virtual
environment.
• The configuration is ideal to
teach students a logical
approach to e.g. opening and
closing valves, fault-finding and
handling of normal and abnormal
situations.
