THE SEED
The bread by Your hand,
was once a seed t’was sown,
it grew and yielded on the ground
and gathered for all men.
The wine by Your cup,
was once a vine that crept,
it grew to bear good fruit for men,
a symbol of Your blood. OFFERTORY

Of that seed we eat Your body,
our bread of life.
Of that vine we drink Your blood,

LORD!
PRIEST: Let us give thanks to the Lord,
our God.
ALL: IT IS RIGHT AND JUST!
Preface of
ADVENT I
PRIEST: It is truly right and just, our duty and our
salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through
Christ our Lord. For he assumed at his first coming the
lowliness of human flesh, and so fulfilled the design
you formed long ago, and opened for us the way to
eternal salvation, that, when he comes again in glory
and majesty and all is at last made manifest, we who
watch for that day may inherit the great promise in
which now we dare to hope.
PRIEST: And so, with Angels and
Archangels, with Thrones and Dominions,
and with all the hosts and Powers of heaven,
we sing the hymn of your glory,
as without end we acclaim:
SANCTUS
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord.
God of power, God of might.
Heaven and earth
are full of your glory:
Hosanna in the Highest!
Blessed is He who comes
in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna in the high-est!

“LET US OPEN OUR

HEARTS TO THE LORD”
Profession of
FAITH
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things
visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord
Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages. God from
God, Light from Light, true God from true
God, begotten, not made, consubstantial
with the Father;
Through Him all things were made. For us
men and for our salvation, He came down
from heaven, *(all bow lowly for the following
words until «became man»)* and by the Holy
Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and
became man. For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and
was buried, and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the
right hand of the Father. He will come again
in glory, to judge the living and the dead and
his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the
giver of life, who proceeds from the Father
and the Son, who with the Father and the
Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken
through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and
apostolic Church. I confess one baptism
for the forgiveness of sins and I look
forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
