 Slide 1: Problem Statement  2

• Car
accidents can be greatly reduced if we can eliminate the
human error through driver-less vehicle.
• Vehicle automation industry is already a huge industry but
there is a problem that often these vehicles are not energy
efficient and we are also motion planning for this vehicle.

Slide 2: Objective
• Firstly, the main objective of our group is to design a prototype
for a driver-less vehicle. now, as it is a driver-less vehicle, it will
involve a certain level of automation etc level 3 Automation.
• Secondly, now as it is a self-driving vehivle, it will also need to
maneuver through different roads, hence different paths will
be provided. the map will be a predefined one. and in that
map, the car will try to reach its destination with the most
efficient path available.
• Thirdly, due to limited resources, as this is a prototype hence it
will be smaller than a regular vehicle and it will be powered
through dc motors.

Slide 3: Literature Review
• For the literature review we first looked at automotive giants
who have already completed this task to some extent.
• We also looked at different driving assisting systems.
• Necessary sensor metrics were also reviewed for completing
the autonomous vehicle task.

 Slide 7: Project  Timeline
8

• By the end of december, our literature review will have been

completed.
• For the month of january and february, we will make sure that
we complete the software part and than proceed on to the
hardware part.
• After february, we will use our remaining time in completing
the hardware part and for its testing.

Slides 8: Justify following
 Ingenuity/Scope of Project :
• The main scope of this project lies in the fact that our
research can further be incorporated in the vehicle
automation industry.
 Lifelong learning:
• During this project we have learnt a lot about robotics,
control systems and most importantly how the autonomous
vehicles work.
