Title Page: the title page is the 1st page
of the Report. It should include:

Preface

The preface is an optional


element in a formal report.

Itintroduces the report’s


salient features and scope.
Letter of Transmittal

 The transmittal letter is a brief


covering letter from the report
writer about the reasons for
writing the report.
Acknowledgement

 The acknowledgement section


includes the names of the
persons who contributes in the
making of the report. It is just
a “thank you note.”
Table of Contents

 Thetable of content provides the


reader a total view of the report.
List of Illustration

 The list of illustrations gives

systematic information about

tables, graphics, figures and charts

used in the report.


Executive Summary

 Itis an abridged version of whole


report.

 Itfocuses on key facts, findings,


conclusion and recommendations.

recommendations.
Conclusion

 It is drawn from main body of the report.

 Itconveys the significance and meaning


of the report to the reader.
Recommendations

 It depends on the analysis and


conclusion.

 They present several ways to solve


a problem or to improve a
situation.
