1. SENDER

 A sender initiates the message.

 Sharing of ideas with other person. For example a company’s

administrator can give the overview of a brand new item to the

employees.
2. MESSAGE

 A message is a verbal or nonverbal code.

 The content, commands, recommendations, propositions, ideas and
feelings which are supposed to be communicated are forms of a
message.
 A message can be an overview of a brand new item.
3. ENCODING
 Is the production of an idea.
 The sender tries to encode the message for the receiver’s ease of
understanding.
 It is a process of converting the point of view into verbal or
nonverbal patterns for the sake of conveying it to the receiver.
 The message is conveyed through words or gestures.
4. MEDIA OR TRANSMISSION
 Media is a source through which the message is transmitted to the
receiver by the sender.
 There are several communication mediums for example television,
telephone, computer, e-mail, presentations, radio, face-to-face
communication and letters.
 The communication situation determines the selection of a certain
medium. For example confidential matters are discussed through
direct confrontation with each other instead of discussing such
matters on telephone.
5. RECEIVER
 The recipient of the message is a receiver.
 The readiness of the receiver is crucial in terms of understanding the
sender’s message.
 The preoccupation of the receiver can lead to misunderstanding of
the message.
6. DECODING
 The receiver decodes the message.
 The message should be interpreted in the same fashion by the sender
and the receiver. There should not be any uncertainty.
 The sender has to choose the words carefully so that the receiver
does not face any difficulty in perceiving the message. For example
during business dealings, the simpler and more common terms must
be used.
7. FEEDBACK
 The receiver’s response to the sender’s message is feedback.
 It determines the successful encoding and decoding of the message.
 It assures the behavioral changes in recipient as a result of communication or not.
 Feedback allows the sender to assess the usefulness of his messages for future.
CONCLUSION
All the variables of the communication complete the communication cycle.
The process of communication starts with a sender and ends with a receiver.
The sender transmits the information whereas the receiver tries to understand it
