Divisions:
• The restaurant is structured into four major divisions:
• Main Area (sitting area, dining area )
• Outdoor sitting area (as open dining was obligatory in Covid 19 guidelines
announced by government)
• Open kitchen area for serving and used to for takeout and reception
counter.
• 2 Bathrooms (, 1for women ,1 for men)
• Back cookery that was used for food preparation
Lighting used in Roasters:
• Lighting in Outdoor Area: Huge flood lights are used in the outdoor
area of the ROASTERS. It help in great for illuminating dining
areas, pathways, walkways of the restaurant outdoor, these lights
help eliminate shadows in recessed areas of architecture or
landscaping, therefore eliminating the risk of tripping and accidents.
• Lighting in Stairs:
• 1 Spotlight was installed in the ceiling that creates a visual focus
on the stair case, these strong lighting creates strong highlights and
shadows.
Lighting in the main dining hall
• Lighting in washroom:
Proper balanced lights were used in the
washroom area and vanity lights were yellow in color
ACOUSTICS IN ROASTERS:
• The restaurant due to lack of the space, used the sound proofing walls
foe kitchen as the noise of the kitchen was not heard by the
customers
• They used light music to regulate the maximum amount of noise of
the kitchen and the customers too, but no barrier walls were used
amongst the tables that produces noise pollution in the hall if great
number of consumers are present in the area.
Passive heating and cooling controlling of ROASTERS:
• Wall installation is used in the interior and exterior walls to control the
temperature in the building. Insulation acts as a barrier to heat flow, reducing
heat loss in winter to keep the building warm and reducing heat gain in summer
to keep the area cool. Insulation is therefore used in walls, ceiling and floors.
• Windows were built on the two sides of the building for proper ventilation
• Split air conditioners were used inside the hall which plays a great a part in
controlling the extreme temperature of the outside,
• Outside dine area pedestal fans and electric heaters were used that minimizes,
and control some amount of temperature of outside
Recommendation:
• As I've done the report on each and every physical aspect of the restaurant area.
In my opinion or recommendation, most of the material is quite good and suitable
for the restaurant, the only flaws or defect as I feel is the lack of partition walls
in the hall which creates noise pollution , white tiles are used for stair which
makes it prone to the dirt ,as the entrance of the restaurant should be attractive
and clean ,they used dark brown tiles for their flooring which makes the
restaurant feel compact and damped , I would like to suggest them to use a
different color matt tiles which can make the floor less slippery and creates a
visual space in the restaurant . Another aspect is the use of light at the hall, the
restaurant in my opinion seem too look too dull and boring so proper lighting can
create focus on the interiors of the restaurant and enhance its physical features.
