KIND OF TOOLS OF USED IN EXAMINING
VITAL SIGNS
1. TENSIMETER
• is a tool used to measure blood pressure.
2. STETHOSCOPE
• functions to listen to sounds from the body, one of which is to hear the sound of the heartbeat and detect
abnormalities.
3. MARCURY THERMOMETER

• Mercury thermometer is a liquid thermometer (liquid) that uses mercury (mercury) as a liquid. The shape is
similar to an alcohol thermometer. This thermometer is used because it can measure very high temperatures, is
easy to see, changes in temperature faster, and does not wet the walls of the thermometer.
4. HANDSCOON NON STERIL

• Handscoons are gloves commonly used by medical personnel to avoid patient droplets. The purpose of
using Handscoon is to prevent cross-management and prevent the transmission of germs
5. INTRUMENT CASE

• As a place to put medical equipment in order to keep it in sterile conditions such as anatomical scissors,
tweezers, syringers and others.

• STOPWATCH is a device for indicating a time. its function is to count pulse and respiration in one full
minute. We can determine whether or not the pulse and respiration are normal by counting using a watch.

• functions to keep dry thermometer, cover and protect the wound from dust and dirt, which can cause
irritation or infection.
9. PATIENT MONITOR MINDRAY IMEC

• Patient monitor is a tool used to see and monitor the condition of a person's vital signs. namely blood
pressure, oxygen saturation in the blood (SpO2), body temperature, recording of the electrical activity of
the heart to see any circulation or abnormal blood flow, and measurement of carbon dioxide levels in the
respiratory system (EtCO2).
10. TORNIQUET

• Tourniquet is a tool for constricting and compressing certain parts of the human body. The tourniquet
controls blood flow in veins or arteries by pressing and releasing it over a period of time. For example in
drawing blood.
11. PENLIGHT/TORCH GC

• Penlight / Torch Gc is a lighting device used for diagnostic purposes. This tool is usually used to examine the
patient's eyes, ears and nose.

12. REFLEX HAMMER

• The Reflex Hammer is a medical instrument used by doctors to test deep tendon / knee reflexes. Testing
the patient's reflexivity is an important part of the neurological physical examination to detect
abnormalities in the central or peripheral nervous system.
