What is it?
• is the process of downloading data from webpages and storing it into
databases by search engines.
• This done because they need to process data to display most relevant
results to their users
• Web Indexing is important for websites to be displayed in search
engines against user queries (for example when you look up Parks, it
will automatically search for nearby parks.
Page Ranking Algorithm
• The Page ranking algorithm, is an algorithm used by Google Search
to rank web pages in their search engine results.
• This algorithm works by counting the number and quality of links to
a page to determine a rough estimate of how important
the website is.
