FACTORS CONSIDERED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING
MATERIALS

According to Husni (2010), teaching materials have an important role in the learning process,
namely the reference used by instructors or trainees. For instructors, teaching materials become
a reference which is absorbed by its contents so that it can become knowledge and for
instructors, these teaching materials become a reference in conveying their knowledge.
Content Accuracy
 content accuracy is the validity/validity of this
01 content or truth scientifically, and content alignment.
The truth of its contents is based on the value
system adopted by a society or nation

Scope Accuracy
02  Content accuracy focuses on the scientific truth of
the content and the value system that applies in
society.

high level of digestibility. This means that teaching
development of materials can be understood and the contents can
be understood by participants easily

PROCEDURE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING
MATERIALS
According to the Ministry of National Education in Krisma (2014) details the
procedures/steps for developing teaching materials, which include the following:

First, determine the main criteria for selecting teaching

01
materials by identifying Competency Standards (SK) and
Basic Competencies (KD).

02 Second, identify the types of teaching materials.

Third, develop appropriate or relevant teaching materials

ADVANTAGES OF DEVELOPING TEACHING
MATERIALS
According to Denita the advantages for teachers in developing
teaching materials include the following:

Obtained teaching materials according

to the demands of the curriculum and in

No longer dependent on textbooks

Build effective learning
communication between teachers 05
and students because students will
feel more trust in their teachers Increase the number of credits if

ADVANTAGES OF DEVELOPING TEACHING
MATERIALS
Benefits for students include the following:

Learning activities become more 01

interesting Opportunity to learn independently
05 and reduce dependence on
02 teacher presence.

03
Get convenience in learning
every competency that must
be mastered

CONCLUSION
The development of teaching materials needs to
be carried out as a supporter in the process of
education and training that is carried out
systematically. In its development, it is necessary
to pay attention to the applicable factors and the
development procedures/steps.Factors that need
to be considered include: Content Accuracy,
Accuracy of Coverage, Digestibility of Teaching
Materials, Use of Language,
Appearance/Packaging, Illustrations, and
Completeness of Components. Meanwhile, the
procedure consists of four main steps, namely:
Analysis, Design, Development, Evaluation and
Revision. All of these references are needed in
order to benefit from the development of teaching
materials as an important support for teacher
teaching and student learning
