SENTENCE
WHAT IS A CONCLUDING
SENTENCE?
 A concluding sentence is a summary of the previous discussion and not include
any new information.
 It gives an overview of the points discussed in the paragraph.
 it reiterates the main topic of the paragraph
 Is the last sentence of each paragraph
 Only discusses topics that have been addressed previously

NOTE :
As a writer, you should keep in mind that concluding sentence may look different
for various types of writing.

o overall
o in conclusion
o thus
o as a result
o for this reason
o in general
o finally
o lastly

 Use your introductory paragraph as a guide
 If it’s longer paper, a good place to start is by looking at what each
paragraph was about
 Leave your readers with something to think about.
