ABSTRACT
 Now a day ration card is very significant for every home and used for various field such as family
members details, to get gas connection, Domicile certificate, Bank account , It act as address proof
for various purposes etc.
 All the people having a ration card to buy the various materials (sugar, rice, oil, kerosene, etc.)
from the ration shops.
 But in this system having two disadvantages, first one is weight of the material may be imprecise
due to human mistakes and secondly, if not buy the materials at the end of the month, they will
sale to others without any intimation to the government and customers.
 In this paper, proposed an Automatic Ration Materials Distribution Based on GSM (Global
System for Mobile) and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology instead of ration cards.
 To get the materials in ration shops need to show the RFID tag into the RFID reader, then
controller check the customer codes and details of amounts in the card.
 After verification, these systems show the amount details. Then customer need to enter their
required materials by using keyboard, after receiving materials controller send the information to
government office and customer through GSM technology.
 In this system provides the materials automatically without help of humans.

INTRODUCTION

 Public Ration Dispensing System provides a

ration card that is issued under the authority of
state government for the purchase of essential
consumer materials like rice, wheat, kerosene,
sugar, oil etc.
5
The conventional system follows a complete
manual process for Ration distribution and this
leads to corruption and smuggling of goods.
The major concern include:
Fake announcements of shortage of ration by
shop keepers
Inaccurate quantity are distributed among the 6

people.
LITERATURE SURVEY
Automatic ration distribution system — A review
In the present days many immoral activities are taking place in ration shops, which are meant
to distribute the commodities to the people who are in below the poverty line, as the
distribution process is manually operated and due to which it consumes a lots of time.

LITERATURE SURVEY
 Automatic ration material dispensing system
Ration card is an important aspect for every family in order to buy commodities issued by government. It also been used
as an address proof and also for the family member details. Automatic ration material distribution is designed to
reduce the intervention of humans so that transparency and efficiency can be achieved.

LITERATURE SURVEY
 Automatic smart ration distribution system for prevention of civil supplies hoarding
in India
Civil Supply distribution system in today's scenario faces loads of challenges as lots of
controversial issues like illegal smuggling of goods, corruption and adulterations in goods
happens here in the distribution centers in both rural and urban parts of India.

LITERATURE SURVEY
 Digitalized Aadhar enabled ration distribution using smart card
This paper proposes automation in ration distribution using smart card based on Aadhar card technology.
In this system, we are using a prototype model based on ATM machine. Using this technology, we can
achieve secure and interactive approach for automization for ration distribution.

12
REQUIRED HARDWARE

1. Microcontroller – ARM LPC2148

2. LCD - 16 x 2
3. Rs232 - MAX232
4. Stepper Motor
5. DC Motor
6. RFID Module
7. GSM
8. 1*4 Keypad
9. 7805 voltage regulators for power supply 13
REQUIRED SOFTWARE

1. Embedded C

2. Keil-C compiler

3. Flash magic burner software.

14
ADVANTAGES

 No queues in front of ration shops

 Automated System

 Manual cheatings can be avoided

15
LIMITATIONS
 Calibration of the system is needed regularly.

 Special care has to be taken while filling the container.

 when power is turned off whole system will stop.

16
CONCLUSION

 We have developed our model for distribution of ration

according to the database stored of every user without
any human intervention.
 Major problems like bribery , false announcement of
shortage in ration, in accurate quantity of grains
dispensing can be overcome.

17
APPLICATION
 The system can be used in shopping complexes and
supermarkets.

 It can be used in large scale industries.

18
FUTURE SCOPE
 1.Face recognition technology can be implemented for
authentication purpose instead of RFID.

 2. Voice technology can be implemented for making

system user friendly.
