 High capacity, usually multiple duty, installed to supply Feed Water to Boiler Drum or
Economiser inlet.
 Came as a replacement of old method of pump water to drum using Steam Ejector.
 Motor Driven or Turbine Driven
 Reciprocatory or Centrifugal
 Have Multisatge Main Pump serving the high pressure requiremnets.

 Deaerator is located at high elevation to give positive suction head to Booster Pump.
 In turn, Booster Pump give positive suction head to Main Pump
