MUNTING TINIG
SUMMARY

In the story, there is a teacher that witnessed all named Melinda in a

small barrio in Malawig. She witnessed all the injustices whether good
or bad around the school and the community while all of the students
are having a great mindset having best education behind this. After
sometime, the school had a letter wherein if they want to join a
competition that has prize for the school within the podium; from there
the mindset of Melinda changed that she got an idea that made her
hope for the children to get a better education. Many challenges where
they faced during this battle yet they have tied for the 1st prize where
this is a big money to the school itself. Aftertime, Melinda decided to
follow her mother on USA and listen to her own will but after some
successful years, she came back to Philippines to teach once again.
REFLECTION

The injustices present in the film itself are inequality and the people
having no rights because they are considered “poor and uneducated”.
Until they have this teacher (Melinda) that was so kind and have the
future for the hopeless children that are student’s dream getting
demolished by their parents mindset. The root cause of this because
they are poor and have no money to have a stable education and
thought it’s better to work than to continue to school to have prior
knowledge in life. To summarize, even though many injustices are
found in the movie there is always a light in the dark there are people
who will make your eyes open to receive a better education whereas
sacrificing and listening to your surroundings where has no future for
you.
CONCLUSION

To sum it up, Melinda gave hope to the children who face injustice
nowadays and having a hindrance to their dreams and pulled back their
dignity as a human being. Through those downside of their life, she
never gave up to the children and instead she looked to the good side
and solutions. She even have the strength to stood up to the heads for
the children to have stable education. For me, the movie is true-to-life
because this is the reality for the people out there and I salute Ms.
Melinda because she fought for all student who are in poverty and
rights for the children in the money and the society
