DEEMED EXPORT

• Selling the goods within own country is regarded as Deemed export under foreign trade
policy provided goods are manufactured in India.
• For example, Dealer ‘A’ (located in Rajasthan) sells goods to Dealer ‘B’ which is an EOU.
B, in turn, sells the goods to a customer ‘C’ in Germany. Supply by A to B is treated as
deemed exports. Supply by B to C is treated as exports
RE-EXPORT

 Re-exports are foreign goods exported to the rest of the world in the same state as
previously imported.
 Re‐export is for specific purposes like jobbing, execution of a contract,
servicing/repairing of machineries, display in fair/exhibition etc.
COUNTER TRADE

 Trading between nations has been happening since time began. In


ancient time nations traded silk, spices, cloth and animals of all kinds.
Today nation trade food items, defence equipment, metals, electronics
etc. The products might have changed but the basic concept is still
the same as the underlining need which brings together two nations in
a trade relationship still exists.

 One such method of trading between nations is called counter trade.


Counter trade is an import / export relationship between nations or
large companies in which good and/or services are exchanged for
goods and services instead of money. In some cases monetary
evaluations are made for accounting purposes.
PROJECT EXPORT

 Projects exports are regarded as a key indicator of technological


maturity and industrial capabilities of a country.

 Examples include constructions of (1) Townships, (2) Airports, (3)


High Rise Buildings, (4) Water & Sewerage Treatment plants, (5)
Flyovers and (6) New Railway lines.
