For today’s lesson we are going to talk about the structure of a
Typhoon which is the:

A. Eye
B. Eye Wall
C. Inner rain bands
D. Outer rain bands

1.Eye
- The innermost part of a Typhoon.
- The pressure is lowest.
- This is considered the Typhoon’s Calm part.
- This is accompanied by light winds that blow up to 20km/h.
- The diameter of the eye of the Typhoon is approximately 30km.
2. Eye Wall
- It consists of bands of clouds that surrounds the eye of the Typhoon
- The winds in the eye wall are the most violent(greater than 118km/h)
- The rainfall is the heaviest and the release of energy is the greatest.
3. Inner rain bands
- The rains are moderate.
- The wind moves at 63km/h to 117km/h.
4. Outer rain bands
- Rainfall is light to moderate and the wind speed is
up to 62km/h
