Due to high levels of insurgency and banditry in the country, and the obvious security challenges in the nation, critical and

volatile areas and specific hot zones across the country, including agricultural farms are being attacked by armed bandits

who invade in large numbers, day and night, mostly using motorcycle transportation to travel kilometers from their

mountainous hideouts. Most times they are "unchallenged", operating for hours, without timely security response from

relevant authorities. These places are vulnerable to these types of attacks due to their remote locations and lack of effective

early warning detection and alert systems to timely alert first responding agencies to quickly intervene before the bandits

arrive their targeted villages, towns and farmlands. It is therefore important that effective measures be put in place to detect

these insurgents on time.
