consists of at least SUBJECT and
VERB to mean something. A
sentence is the basic unit of
language which expresses a

CLAUSE / SENTENCE DEPENDENT

INDEPENDENT CLAUSE

An independent clause is a sentence. Since it doesn’t depend on


anything, it is called independent clause. It gives a complete meaning

DEPENDENT CLAUSE

It is clause that depends on independent clause. It doesn’t stand on its own. It


starts with subordinating conjunction
