Breakout space
What is breakout space and
why is it needed.
It's an area seperated from regular workspace and
is established for the refreshments and relaxing
purpose for employees. It's informal and more
comfier.
Why is it needed:
• For the wellbeing of the employees
• Space for interactions and collaboration
• Additional workspace
• Promotes movement within the office and
enhances productivity of staffs
• Relaxing and for personal time

1. BUDGET
2. COMFORT: it's the major concern as breakout space is
entirely designed to create a comfortable environment.
The furnitures, colour and others accessories which
promotes the comfortable feeling.
3. DESIGN: use of a larger space by creating several
smaller environments for people to choose form. Roof
booths and acoustic screening can assist to provide these
areas whilst at the same time promote the reduction of
noise pollution
4. COLORS: bright green, warm orange , electricblue gives
pleasing appearance

Lighting
• As a general rule, it’s a good idea to light a space based on the tas
k being performed.
• Some activities, such as those in break out areas, will need to be li
t brightly with cooler color temperatures to help keep you alert an
d engaged. Others will need warmer color temperatures and lowe
r lighting levels to help you relax and recharge.
• Wherever possible, you should try and get natural light into your
breakout space, as studies have shown that exposure to natural li
ght positively impacts health and wellness. If that’s not possible,
white (or cooler color temperature) light is better for employee we
llness than yellow (warmer color temperature) light.
• Preferred colours: bright green, electric blue, warm orange as th
ey give pleasing appearance

Personal space
• Personal space for power nap, reading or spen
ding time on one self, private activities like talki
ng on phones which are restricted during worki
ng hours may take place here.Seperate pods ca
n be created enabling people to rest. Book shelf
shall be placed along so people might read and
relax.
• People may also use it as personal work space
which might enable them to focus better than o
n their desks.
Sleeping pod for power naps

• For comfortable sleeping position a person needs a

Total area requirements for both male and female toilets: 3

• Minimum area required for a car - 2.5m * 5m = 12.5 m^2
• Minimum area required for 2 wheeler - 1.6 m^2
• Total area required for 14 cars and 30 two wheeler - 175+ 48
= 223 m^2
