SUSPENSION
 The suspension system on a vehicle is between the
frame and the road. The suspension system's
primary function is to maximize the overall
performance of a vehicle as it cruises down the
road. The suspension system also helps to absorb
bumps in the road and provide a safe and
comfortable ride.
 There are three basic types of suspension
components: linkages, springs, and shock
absorbers

SPRINGS
 Springs are a vital part of the suspension
system, without them, you would feel every
bump and carry you drove over. Most vehicles
are equipped with coil springs, which are steel
bars bent into a flexible coil. The job of coil
springs is to absorb the shock forces we
encounter when driving over a bump in the road
 Types Of Springs:- leaf springs, coil springs,
torsion bars, and air springs.

COIL SPRINGS
COIL SPRINGS:-
 A coil spring is a mechanical device which is
typically used to store energy and subsequently
release it, to absorb shock, or to maintain a force
between contacting surfaces. They are made of an
elastic material formed into the shape of a helix
which returns to its natural length when unloaded
 How Coil Springs Work :-A coil spring functions by
storing energy in order to release it, absorb shock or
maintain force between two surfaces. If you apply
too much force, you can stretch a spring beyond its
limit which will permanently distort the spring.

LEAF SPRINGS
LEAF SPRINGS:-
 Leaf springs are a crucial part of the suspension system
of a heavy loaded vehicles. They consist of a number of
layers of leaves with a gradation in their size, the bigger
layer being on the top with each layer joined to the other.
Leaf springs are directly attached to the frame, either at
both ends or at one end.
 How Coil Springs Work :- A leaf spring can either be
attached directly to the frame at both ends or attached
directly at one end, usually the front, with the other end
attached through a shackle, a short swinging arm. The
shackle takes up the tendency of the leaf spring to
elongate when compressed and thus makes for softer
springiness.

SUSPENSION
AIR SUSPENSION:-
 Air suspension compensates for potholes, uneven
surfaces and speed bumps in the road allowing your
vehicle to glide easily over the road surface. An air
spring system allows the driver to adjust the car to suit
their personal preferences for ride comfort and
handling.
 How Coil Springs Work :- An air suspension system is a
style of vehicle suspension that's powered by an
electric pump or compressor that pumps air into
flexible bellows that are typically made out of a textile-
reinforced type of rubber. ... A compressor inflates the
bags to a certain pressure in order to behave like
springs.
