THE CHRISTMAS FEAST

INTRODUCTION

The Christmas Feast is an excerpt from Charles


Dickens’book ‘The Christmas Carol’.It is about the Crachit
Family and how they enjoy a simple christmas dinner.
PLOT
The Crachit Family comprises of Bob Crachit,his wife and their six
children;Martha,Belinda,Peter,Tiny Tim and two young Crachits.The Crachit Family
symbolizes affection,strength,care and joy.The Crachits give us an insight into what life
is with loving and affectionate family members.Despite the troubles like poverty and ill
health of Tiny Tim,they celebrate Christmas with great joy and excitement.Each of the
family members contributed to make the celebration memorable.
The family enjoys a Christmas Feast having an elaborative menu which had goose
cooked in gravy,mashed potatoes and apple sauce.It was followed by a pudding.After
the dinner,custard cup was served and chestnuts were also crackled on the fire.At last
everyone wished merry christmas and sought blessings from God for each other.
