OUR FACILITIES FOR A Brief Outlook

YOUTH
GO GREEN INDIA
THE REGION
EXAMINED…
For the purpose of this presentation,
we decided to scout a common area
that we used to visit on an almost
daily basis – our school.
The area near Campion School lies in
south Mumbai, and in an older part of
the city called Fort.
The area around is high maintenance
and has an abundance of facilities
around it.
Throughout this presentation, we had one
larger aim – to answer the question
whether the region where we spent many
hours a day was a nice place for young
people to live in.
THE BIG
QUESTION
… In trying to find out so, we conducted a
series of interviews, as well as group
interview sessions where we truly got the
mindset of each and every person
The area near and around
Campion School is a
comparatively spacious and
luxurious place to live in.
It has a variety of facilities that
are constantly refurbished and
maintained.
There is a good balance of
greenery as well as residential
buildings giving the place a
homely and safe feel.
There are a few schools near
each other, due to which the
WHAT KIND OF A students also often make
friends with each other.
PLACE IS IT?
We have a background and a basketball court where we
can play football and basketball, we also have a gym

WHAT near our school.

Moreover, the YMCA and the YWCA are in the area as
KIND OF well.

FACILITIES There are multiple other physical classes such as horse

riding and we also have various clubs like debate club,
DO YOU chess club and extra curricular activities conducted.
Other locations include eateries such as the Mcdonalds
HAVE? where many youngsters hang out and other small local
cafes like the Leopold café.
PEOPLE OF
DIFFERENT AGE
GROUPS?
Since the facilities are very versatile,
with multiple open grounds, there is
possibilities for a lot of sports and
games, inviting a lot of different age
groups
However, supervision is required for
younger children and only children age
15 and above can use the gym.
All the facilities are free except
the gym which takes money on
a monthly basis. The gym
charges about 2000 (27 USD)
rupees per month. Members
and contributors do get
discounts
Since some of the facilities are
owned by the government, they
are free for charge, or are
extremely cheap to access.
Low rates of access means that
children from even lower
economic backgrounds can
PAID/FREE visit, making for a lot of well-
needed diversity.
ACCESS…?
From questions that we asked
our classmates, and some WHAT
students of neighboring schools,
we understood a few basic ARE THE

it which have not been

There can be more facilities
made for sports like Tennis

These facilities need to be
modernized to maintain a
high standard of quality and
also upkeep a little
cleanliness.
SOME
RECOMMENDATIONS…
We interviewed some young people to
gain perspective while framing this
INTERVIEWS presentation. In total, we interviewed
three people that were familiar with
… these facilities and using them.
Screenshots, and their images have been

INTERVIEW#3
In this presentation, we had one major overtone of a
question. Is our region, a nice one to live?
After examining the points of all these different
people, we think that it is undeniable that our
school, and the area around our school is a great
place to live.

CONCLUSION There are modern and well maintained facilities.

Multiple types of sports are possible to be played.

STATEMENT The environment is extremely safe and this lets

students interact freely forming new bonds of
friendship.
We must say that it was an extremely interesting
experience to compare the difference in facilities
between Indian and Dutch students, and examine the
place where we live more closely and intently than
before.
