This document discusses design thinking and observations about onions. It notes that onions have proportionate roots compared to their above-ground parts, with the exception of the sac located above the root. The small roots of onions do not need to be large because nutrients are stored in the underground sac stem. The underground roots and stem give onions an advantage to avoid harsh weather and adapt without damage from physical or environmental changes.

Most Of the plants have proportionate roots w.r.t their upper parts above the soil . here in the case of onion there is an exception because of the sac located above the root , both being in the soil The roots are small because they don’t need huge amount because of nutrients being stored in the sac stem below unlike other plants whose roots gives continuous supply of nutrients The underground roots and stem of the onion gives it an advantage to avoid harsh weather outside and adapt to it without getting damaged due to physical or environmental changes. In ancient times it was used to predict the weather whether harsh or mild winter was coming. It has multiple layers due to which it can withstand small damages INITIAL MODEL FINAL MODEL
