Management is the process of bringing people
together to achieve desired goals and objectives with
the most efficient and effective use of available
resources. So I introduce about a famous
managerment of Microsoft

1.1. PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT

Finding a famous manager from Internet to
analyze if that person has great managerial
skills to contribute to the success of the
organization. It provides strategies that can
help us gain more knowledge and
application in working.
 1.2. SATYA NADELLA ’s biography
Satya Narayana Nadella was born on August 19,
1967. He is an Indian-American business executive.
He is the chairman of the board of directors and chief
executive officer of Microsoft.
Joining Microsoft in 1992, he quickly became known
as a leader who could span a breadth of technologies
and businesses to transform some of Microsoft’s
biggest product offerings.
In 2014 he succeeded Steve Ballmer as chief
executive officer and John W. Thompson in 2021 as
chairman.
 1.3 Microsoft development
Microsoft is an American multinational corporation with headquarters in Redmond, Washington. The company was
founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975.
The company specializes in the development, production, sales of software copyrights and support on computer-related
products and services.
In August 2013, CEO Steve Ballmer shared his intention to retire. In its 14 years at the helm, Microsoft has done a
great job. During that time, however, Microsoft lost out in three important races with new companies: search,
smartphones, and social networking.

In February 2014, Satya Nadella was chosen as the company's third CEO. Bill Gates thinks "nobody is more suitable
than him to lead Microsoft". Many commentators also thought he would fail. But after 5 years Bill Gates is right in saying that
Satya Nadella is the most suitable person to take over Microsoft. From an outdated Microsoft, CEO Satya Nadella has
successfully revived Microsoft to become the world's most valuable company.

Satya Nadella's changes to Microsoft
Immediately after taking the new position, Satya Nadella
made drastic changes to revive the company after years of
failure.

He decided to remove the entire outdated and

counterproductive management structure and replace it with
a new managementmechanism based on the change in the
human resource management structure, by creating a
working environment. more cooperation.

Microsoft has been successful , Satya Nadella has exceptional managerial skills

The manager’s ability to correctly
recognize and define problems and
opportunities and to then select an
appropriate course of action to

problems and capitalize on
opportunities.
Nadella also has a series of
surprising steps when allowing rival
operating systems to run on its
products as well as support on many
Apple products and has brought great
effect.

The ability to communicate with,
understand, and motivate both individuals
and groups.
Satya Nadella is looking for people that
want to work in a team and are passionate
about what they do. In addition to a
constant desire to learn new things. Change
the organizational culture so that everyone
competes fairly and is a part of a cohesive
team.

Manager's ability to think about problems abstract
He was a firm believer in mental stimulation. He
had no qualms about going against the grain. He
inspires awe in everyone with his ability to think.
Especially thinking about Microsoft's position
relative to everything else. Instead of choosing
Microsoft as the center of everything as before,
Nadella understands that there are many
opportunities outside.
4.Communication skills
The ability of a manager to successfully communicate
ideas and information to others, as well as accept ideas
and information from others.
He constantly finds time in his schedule to listen to
customers and staff. He makes sure the employees are
motivated and inspired at all times. Everyone admits
that Nadella has very good employee benefits. He made
sure employees get health insurance and an option to
own shares, even for part-timers.

Recommendation
In my opinion, Microsoft is doing very well
in developing operating systems, technology
devices and software. Maintain the philosophy of
"learn everything" rather than "know everything".
Expand market to other product lines or bring
products to run on rival operating systems like
Linux and Apple. And regularly upgrade its
products for the best customer experience.
CONCLUSION
In 5 years, the old Microsoft led by Nadella has
come back strong. Made the world have a different
view of Microsoft.
A good leader is one who has a big vision and
clear direction for the company as well as great
motivation to lead his employees to great heights. And
Satya Nadella has done it very well. He is a
magnificent illustration of the limitless possibilities for
those who dream great. When you are motivated by a
deep commitment to achieving your objectives,
everything is possible.
